Our hand fans with Koi fish paintings are reqresentative of a Japanese fan.  In many case, these are referred to as silk fans although it is very rare today to use natural silk.  All of our hand fans are made from Bamboo and Rayon.  The rayon has the traditional smooth as silk feel.
